1947 - Survey of the Hoxsie area to establish a Mission
of the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island
1948 - May 2nd, first service of the new Congregation
of St. Mark’s Church in the Community Hall.
1949 - Gift of land on West
Shore Road, Hoxsie
1950 - December 10th, first service in the completed
basement foundation.
1953 - Plans for the superstructure.
1955 - Easter, work begins on enlarged Church.
1956 - October, Dedication and occupancy of the new Church.
1965 - Recognized as independent parish.
1965 - The Rev. Thomas Gardner installed as Rector.
1968 - Rev. Thomas Gardner relocated, search begins for new Rector.
1969 - The Rev. Kenneth Franklin installed as Rector.
1970 - Youth ministries formed & parish activities expanded.
1990 - Youth choir formed.
1998 - Celebration of 50th anniversary of St. Mark’s Church
of Warwick.
2001 - The Rev. Kenneth Franklin retires.
2001 - Profile and search committee formed for Rector replacement.
2003 - The Rev. George H. Warren appointed as Priest-in-charge for a period of two years.
2005 - The Rev. George H. Warren installed as Rector.
